I am a textile artist living on the Suffolk Essex border. I am a member of the Out of the Fold Textile Group and East Anglian Stitched Textiles (EAST)I am the Principal Tutor for Creative Stitch which offers courses in Creative Patchwork and Quilting and Creative Stitch Textiles. I teach each year at the Knitting & Stitching Shows and Festival of Quilts. I also offer workshops and talks to groups throughout the UK in person and via zoom.I am also a member of the QGBI and the specialist Contemporary Quilt Group and STARS (formerly Suffolk West Embroiderers Guild)

Textile Connections exhibition now open

 

'Thinking Outside the Box' - an old/new/repurposed piece of work - will be on show at the Textile Connections exhibition from 2nd - 7th July 2024


This is an interactive piece with visitors invited to rearrange to form new words and phrases from the alphabet cubes




There is quite a lot of 3D work in the show. We are making good use of the four beautiful Georgian side tables in burystedmundsguildhall.org.uk/

Sarah Moran has a whole installation of 'vessels' using experimental techniques
















Plus a group 'challenge' issued by member Virginia to make balls. This is just a fraction of the spheres on show.











It really is a varied show. Hoping to see lots of visitors over the next week.
