Uncharted in Scotland

The Uncharted exhibition of quilts made for the CQ Challenge will be exhibited at the Scottish Quilting Show, Scottish Exhibition Centre, Glasgow  G3 8YW https://www.thequiltingshow.co.uk/

Dates 3rd - 6th March 2022

Uncharted used lots of different techniques to build up the layers. Screenprinting, paint, bonded sheers, transfoils and glitter films.

I teach these techniques as part of my 'Putting on the Glitz' workshop

Spotlight Textiles Exhibition

Workshops at The Cosy Cabin

Making your mark(al)  one day workshop

Working on black linen we will use markal oil sticks to create a design* then machine embroidery techniques to add colour, texture and sheen. Machine stitching. 

Outcome will be a 12" panel

Burn Your bra for Art' sake!

Use nylon lace, old net curtains and even your old bra to create a highly textured and crusty surface. Machine stitching and burning*

Outcome will be a 12" panel

My Creative Stitch colleague Diane Tompkins and myself will be demonstrating throughout the event showing some of the many techniques  available on Creative Stitch courses and workshops

We will also have lots of  dyed and printed fabrics for sale as well as a range of kits for you to try things out at home.
