Transfer of Affections

 

This piece is inspired by the old embroidery blue paper designs found when clearing out my mother's house. Some are from 1934 but still work!

I have enjoyed hand stitiching some of these by the fire on winter evenings and now have a nice little pile.

Now to give them a contemporary twist.......

Dyeing some fabric to match my threads. In another blast from the past this tin of dylon dye cost 92p from Woolworths - can anyone suggest a date? It still works too.
